Happy Memorial Day!

We had such a fun weekend and I hope everyone else did too. We were super busy and glad to be back into a normal week and I'm sure Wes is happy to get back to his normal routine also. Brad took off on Friday so we got some things done around the house, I got to go for a couple of bike rides this weekend so that was really nice but now I need a few more to burn off the calories I consumed this weekend. Friday, we went to get a new dishwasher since ours died last week. We also went out to dinner for my favorite, Mexican. YUM!

Saturday, Brad had a double header so he was gone most of the day. Unfortunately, they lost both of their games and their last game is supposed to be tonight but have a feeling it might be rained out, we will see. Hopefully they get to have it and win it so they can end the season on a positive note.

Saturday evening, we went to the Bonds to cookout with them, not realizing it was their 17th wedding anniversary and they cooked us dinner!!!

Sunday, we went to Jen & Erick's parents for a cookout/wedding shower for them. They are getting married in Denver next month and we are so happy for them and know they will have a wonderful life together, we're just really bummed that we're not getting to attend the wedding. Silly me put the camera on the charger but forgot to take it with me so I have no pictures of that.

Sunday evening, we took the Bonds a yummy cheesecake made by Brad and I made their favorite, chicken tamale casserole. We got to go out on the pontoon for a bit and as you can see, it's like a little playground for Wes, he loved it. He also got his first taste of a fudgesicle that day and apparently really liked it too. It was really hot and humid this weekend so I'm sure it was refreshing.

Monday, we woke up to a rainy day and wondered what we were going to do since we were supposed to go sailing with Jen, Erick and their friend John who came in from Denver with them. Katie and Mike, the proud owners of the cosmic muffin and Mike's brother, Steve and his friend Barrett. We decided that we would all just meet at Rick's cafe on the water for lunch and if it cleared up, we would be right there to go sailing. Well, as you can see, it wasn't the sunniest of days but we still got to go out sailing. Wes did so amazing, way better than I thought he would ever do being in such a confined space, he seemed to really enjoy it, YAY!!! I already can't wait until this weekend, it's supposed to be nice out again and hopefully we will get to sail again and get in some time on our boat! FINALLY!

Just a couple of side notes, Wes is saying dada now which is really cute, he started saying it last week and Brad pretended like he wasn't really saying it but it's okay that he is saying it since I know he has no idea what it actually means! LOL He also has begun trying some real food, as you can see, the fudgesicle being one of them. I tried cottage cheese and wheat bread and he made faces like both of them are disgusting, I know that cottage cheese isn't the best thing in the world but bread is bread! I did give him some of my yogurt and he seemed to really like it but it was the yoplait whips, chocolate mousse so who wouldn't like that!!!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week!

Cookout with friends

We had a really fun time on May 17th, we had over Mike and Katie, Pam, Lucy and Michael, Mollie and Tom and Taryn, Brad and Bradley for a cookout, the kids all obviously had a really good time.

We have discovered that apparently Wes has a thing for shoes or feet so maybe he will be a podiatrist (sp?) or shoe designer, LOL. He and Lucy had so much fun grabbing each other and trying to make out, ha ha. And Wes obviously is not a fan of pink!

Catch up time on some photos while Wes is napping!

Just catching up on some photos that I haven't had time to load...
We went to Red Robin for dinner one night and Wes really liked his balloon so we had to bring it home, this should be an advertisement for them!
We went over to to tbe Bond's one afternoon for a cookout and had a lot of fun with the dogs and the horn that Steve and Kathryn gave to Wes.
We have also discovered that Wes really likes peanut butter on a spoon, just like daddy.
And the last one is just us having some fun in the backyard.

Happy Mothers Day!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Mothers day. I had a very good one, we went to my cousins for some of the most yummy ribs that I've ever had in my life made from my grandfathers recipe, thank you, Sean and Sarah (sorry you had to clean up the mess on Mothers day). We enjoyed some birthday cake for Tyler and myself (my birthday was yesterday too and Tyler's was Friday). We came home and Brad cooked some yummy steaks on the grill for dinner and enjoyed a nice relaxing evening at home. My husband bought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers that I think I've ever seen and the most beautiful silver Mothers love necklace from Red Envelope that I asked for.
