St. Pattys day party/Happy Birthday, Tom!

We had a really fun weekend, well Brad probably didn't because he worked some overtime but in the evenings, we had fun! Saturday night, we went to the McCoy's annual St. Patricks day/Tom's 40th surprise birthday party. It was a lot of fun and when it was still light out, it was nice outside so we got to hang out at the Tiki bar a little. I can't wait to take Wes to the pool in the summer to see how he likes the water! As you can see, Wes had a really good time with everyone, especially his Aunt Katie and Uncle Mike (aka pacifier). Anyway, we had a great time and there was lots of good food including the yummy cakes (my carrot cake and pat a cakes fish cake) so thanks for the invite and Happy Birthday, Tom!

Sunday, we took Wes for his first boat ride on the Bond's pontoon boat, Wes loved looking at the water and everything going by, then we put him on the floor of the boat where he could feel the vibration and took a little snooze before we got to Wolfies to eat dinner. Charlotte took some photos so I'll post those whenever I get them! :)

Wesley's 6 month doctor appointment

First, I want to say that I'm keeping the St. Patricks day theme because we are going to the McCoy's St. Patricks party Saturday night and I'm sure that I'll have some photos to post...

Wes did so awesome at his Dr appointment! Of course Dr. Harper complimented him tons, as usual. He weighs 16.5 lbs and is 27.5" long now! WOW We are almost going to need a new carseat soon! He has already met his developmental milestones and according to the babycenter.com milestones chart, he is already meeting the advanced milestones for 6 months. The only thing that he doesn't really do is roll around, he rolls from his back to his tummy and from his tummy to his back but most of the time, he just rolls from his back to belly and then just lays there. Who knows, he may just crawl and not even roll around. Daddy wasn't able to go with us to the appointment so I was a little worried about how he would do with his shots but he was SO good, he didn't even cry, tears started to form and he got that face but then he just stopped, what a big boy, I was so proud of him!

new burp rags

These are some burp rags (or diapers) that Jo, Brad's mom bought me that I haven't used yet. I was going to do the thing where people sew ribbons on them and then I found these things at JoAnn Fabric yesterday so I decided to do something a little more fun with them. Some of them turned out really well and others didn't turn out so well, who would have thought that ironing things could be so difficult! I'd love to hear what you think of them and if anyone would like me to make any for a gift or something, let me know. I'd be happy to do it (for a price of course, hehe)!
And since you can't really see what they say in the pictures...

  • The tag says "Made with love by Mom"
  • King of the Crib
  • Spit Happens
  • Sweet Pea
  • Little Prince
  • Yohoho and a bottle of milk and Pirate in Training on the other side (these metallic one's didn't do so well)
  • I bite (he does too, LOL)
  • Monkey Business
  • Snuggle Bunny
  • Chicks Dig me
  • No Sugar Added 100% me
  • Party at My Crib

Happy St. Patricks Day

Just a few pictures to share... Wes finally figured out that he has a teething ring on his swing, ha ha! And, he is our little drool monster so I had to get a picture and this was probably only in about an hours time so just imagine the days worth of drool!

Wes loves lauging at Bella playing

So we discovered the other night that Wes laughs at Bella when she's running around playing so I finally got a video of it. Then I was sitting here watching the video with him on my lap and he started laughing agin, too funny!

Wes and Lucy sitting in a tree...

So Michael and Pam came over for a visit this past weekend and brought Lucy, Wes' first girlfriend (Ashley, don't let Paiton see this, LOL). They really interacted with each other, it was really cute. They touched each other and stared longingly into each others eyes. HA HA

Wes is doing great, he is trying his best to sit up and can sit for a few seconds unsupported but he still falls forward a lot. Just yesterday, he rolled to his tummy for the first time and I have a feeling he will be rolling all over the place soon and I will have to start really keeping an eye on him (not like I don't already but a closer eye). He is now eating solid foods everyday and has had all of the veggies he can have (green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes and squash) and so far hasn't had any bad reactions to any of them, I think he definitely likes sweet potatoes the best by far and he loves applesauce too. I gave him bananas today for the first time and I have a hilarious video to post of that. I would think that the bananas are a little tart or he just doesn't like them! And he also has recently learned that he has a bottom lip and likes to suck on it now, Brad calls it his bitter beer face. I think that's about all for those updates, I will post the videos soon.

As most of you know, Wes did a little modeling recently. I took him for a photo shoot for Mead Johnson, the company that makes Enfamil. They are moving their corporate office from Evansville, IN to Chicago, IL and in doing so wanted some baby photos that will be enlarged to about as big as I am. They will be in the entrance of their corporate office and there will be 3 of them. I have been told by the photographer that Wes' photo will be the center of the 3 but I don't know if I'll believe it until I see it. The photographer said that if Mead Johnson wanted to use his photo for any advertising purposes, that she would put them in touch with us so keep your fingers crossed, LOL. In return for us bringing Wes to her, she is mailing us a cd with all the photos but she has put them on a website for us to view so I wanted to share the link with all of you. I hope you enjoy them, I think they are amazing and she is obviously very talented.
