Wes eating sweet potatoes

The first video was actually at the end of him eating and he was getting bored so I was just playing with him and then daddy came home so the dogs were going crazy in the background, the 2nd video is him smiling and eating and being cute, the 3rd one is just him eating, pretty boring but he did so good and I'm so proud of him for eating like a big boy. Oh and you might wonder where I am dumping his food that he is spitting out of his mouth, he has these bibbity plastic bibs that have a scoop in the bottom of them. I highly recommend them, they are a great invention!

Wes loves sweet potatoes

Okay, so I know it's not the best picture in the world of him eating sweet potatoes but he loved them and I couldn't get it in his mouth fast enough plus he kept leaning forward and bumped into the spoon several times so it was everywhere. All I can say is thank goodness for the bibbity plastic bibs b/c his other bibs would be completely stained (I have pre-treated them before and it still stained).

The one of Wes asleep in his pack & play is just him being cute, the one of him and mommy was us going for a walk to Bruce and Lisa's to meet their new baby, Banner Adley. He and Wes will have to be buds since they are only a few months apart in age and will be going to the same school. He fell asleep in his jumper the other day too which was just hilarious. I was checking email and look over and he's zonked! And he said Hi Jennifer and thanks for the cute and warm outfit that he has on! :)
The last couple of photos are of our long lost cousin Kristen and her adorable little one Alexander. He is about 2 months younger than Wes and he was the same size at his 2 month appt. as Wes was at his 4 month appt. He is just precious and obviously sizing up his new buddy, Wes (probably saying he could kick his butt! After all, his middle name is Guido!) I wanted to post a special note to them them know how happy I am to have reconnected with them and hope that he and Wes can grow up and be friends and as Uncle Dan said, play sports against each other, LOL.

Just a quick little update and some photos

Oh and yeah, just in case you're wondering, we have now gotten used to taking a change of clothes anywhere because of drooling! I know we could use a bib but that wouldn't be any fun and everyone at the party kept wanting to take it off of him.

The frozen tundra we woke up to this morning...

Just some photos of the fun that we woke up to this morning along with some photos of Wes in his new exersaucer that Grandma Ruby got him for Christmas, he loves it, he can already spin around in it and is learning a new toy each time he gets in it. We have also put together his jumper but he's a little too short for it still. As you can see in the photos, you can no longer see the bottom of our slide and my wonderful husband is out shoveling the driveway but I don't think we'll be going anywhere soon! I don't think the trash men are coming either, ha ha. Hope you enjoy and for those of you in Indiana, be careful on the roads!

Wes' 4 month checkup

Wes had his 4 month checkup yesterday. He did really well, he is doing everything that Dr. Harper asked about like holding his hands together like he is praying, smiling, laughing, holding his head up well. He is probably teething but we probably won't see a tooth for a while, he drools and chews on his hands all the time now, we barely need the pacifier but that is also because he likes sucking his thumb now too. Dr. Harper went on and on again about how cute he is and while I'm sure he does that all the time, I still think it's cute. Wes got two of his shots yesterday, he still will have to go back for one more which is going to really suck but he did really well for the first two, he cried of course and I think that the needle kinda grazed his leg a little because he had a little blood running down his leg but it was only for a second but he was NOT too happy about that. He was hungry and tired at the time so I'm sure that added to the sadness a little, it makes us so sad to see him upset. I know he has no idea what this horrible pain is and why it's happening so it's really sad.
Anyway, on to the good news, he is 13 lbs, 9 ounces which is in the 25th percentile and is 24 and 3/4" tall which is in the 50th percentile, looks like someone is gonna be tall like his daddy. Also, we will get to start solids really soon so that will be exciting. The Dr. said we could start them now but I just really don't think that he is ready for them other than cereal yet so I'm going to keep watching for signs that he's getting more interested in eating and then we will start with the yummy veggies and fruits!

And here are some photos since I know I missed posting some over the week and I guess people really do read this because I started getting questions as to why I wasn't updating it. Some of these photos are from Mike's graduation party that we went to last week where we also noticed that Wes is beginning to experience a little separation anxiety from mommy and daddy. CONGRATULATIONS MIKE!

Oh and one more thing, we had lunch with Aunt Kelly today and we wanted to be sure to mention how when Kelly said hi to Wes, he smiled really big and it almost looked like he waved at her, it was too funny, see, he already loves pretty girls!

Wes and his first bites of cereal

This is pretty funny, I think I actually had more fun with this than he did but he did enjoy it and did a really good job eating like a big boy. I didn't realize how much he was looking at the camera either until I loaded this. I just had it sitting on a tray on the high chair.
